Dave recently got his grades back for his most recent semester of law school. I've been kind of nervous about his grades, because I wanted him to do well. I was also nervous that if he didn't do as well as he wanted, it would mean that I had been too much of a distraction to him.
Well, when he got his grades back, we were both pleasantly surprised! He did better than he thought he would. For those of you who don't know, his grades for each class are based on either the test at the end of the semester or one paper turned in a little bit before the end of the semester. And, of course, when your grades are based on one relatively short performance, it's easy to think that you're going to do very poorly. By the end of the semester Dave was tired of studying, and just tired! So we were both very happy with the grades that he received.
Then, today, Dave found out something else that is really exciting. He received a couple of awards for his performance in two of his classes this semester! In one class he got the CALI award for receiving the highest score in the course, and in another class he got the COL award for the best all around performance. Isn't he amazing!?
Okay, no more bragging about my fiance. I don't want him to get a big head! But I will say that together we are quite the handsome couple. These are a few of our engagement pictures. We got them taken a few weeks ago, and we're working on making our invitations now. I'm so happy!
Okay, I can't help bragging about him a little bit! Isn't he cute?
